We, in AFRM, have decided to turn our website into a tribute page for Ricky Martin instead of continuing the fan club. We haven't been that active for years now as Ricky has had no Asian activity at all and has been concentrating mainly in the U.S. and European markets. However, we have no desire to shut down the website because it has been a part of our lives and has been instrumental in us meeting some wonderful people and making good friends.

We hope our new website will still be able to provide all the information and materials needed by Ricky's fans. Ricky has always been a part of our lives, dating back from when he was a mere 13 year-old kid in Menudo. Until now, our admiration for him as an artist and as a person remains strong. Our experiences of knowing and following Ricky Martin have all been fun and exciting, worthy to be remembered for the rest of our lives.

Our fervent wish is to have a Ricky Martin adventure in the future... if he drops by our region once again.

Please feel free to explore our pages...everything is free.

For many years, we have been hungry for Ricky Martin's live performances. The only live DVD he has had on the market since 1998 is the One Night Only show. A lot of us long-time fans have been making do with the VHS files we've collected over the years. Since the advent of digital technology, many artists have published their live shows through this medium and we RM fans have been longing for new digital video materials which we can play over and over again.

And now, finally, we not only have one but two DVDs to add in our collection. The very well acclaimed MTV Unplugged and the lively Black & White tour. Both are released by Sony-BMG and are available in music stores near you.

Click the pictures for our review of these DVDs.

And please don't forget to buy your original copy. Both these DVDs are released in Asia Pacific countries, and in Hong Kong they even have a behind-the-scene special feature.

For fans in Philippines, it only cost Php 375.00

A Well-deserved Star:

Ricky has been bestowed a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This long overdue honor happened in October 16, 2007 amidst the support of screaming fans, media, friends and Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa. His star is #2,351 - placed outside the Virgin Megastore at Hollywood Boulevard and Highland Avenue, near the famous Kodak Theater.

"With this star my work has been recognized and this star is here forever," Ricky said during the ceremony.

"To speak of his talent, his accolades, his awards is redundant," Moreno said. "He has devoted part of his life, his talent, his resources, to helping needy children around the world."

A Couple More Grammys:

His mantle must be overflowing with awards and trophies by now there's hardly any space left. But on November 9, 2007 he got another two more from Latin Grammy for his very well acclaimed MTV Unplugged.

"Music breaks borders, unites cultures. ...but we can't stop speaking our language," Martin told reporters Thursday after the Latin Grammy Awards.

Many Latin artists, like Shakira, still credit Ricky for opening the door to the main stream market for Latin music when he won the Grammy in 1999. He became a superstar overnight after the whole America witnessed his bootilicious performance during the ceremony.

A Worthy Cause:

Ricky Martin's Foundation is doing a good job in aiding children around the world. If you're looking for a worthy cause to support, this is definitely a good one. For more information, their website has more details:
